AFC Cup 2022 comes to an end

After 18 finals which produced 12 different champions representing nine different nations

The 2022 AFC Cup Final was the final match of the 2022 AFC Cup, the 19th edition of the AFC Cup, Asia's secondary club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Al-Seeb are the current champions after defeating Kuala Lumpur City in the 2022 final. Since the 2021 season, the team winning the AFC Cup is granted a place in the following season's AFC Champions League group stage.

The 2022 AFC Cup Final was played between Omani club Al Seeb and Lebanese club Al Ahed SC. Al Seeb won the match 3-0 to win their first AFC Cup title.

This was Al Seeb's second AFC Cup final, having lost to Iraqi club Air Force Club in the 2019 final. This was also Al Ahed's second AFC Cup final, having lost to Iraqi club Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in the 2019 final.

Al Seeb became the first Omani club to win the AFC Cup. They also became the first club from a West Asian country to win the AFC Cup since Al-Faisaly of Jordan in 2006.
